Elk Antlers with Elk Ivory

Hand fabricated with sterling silver - For the antlers, I fused sterling silver into the general shape of the antlers using my torch, then took time carving the details to ensure they resembled (as closely as I could possibly could) elk antlers.

Elk "ivories" are actually canine teeth, specifically the two teeth located in the upper jaw where canines are typically found, and are often referred to as "whistlers" or "buglers". They are remnants of ancestral tusks. I used two elk ivories as the top portion of the earrings, and the antlers dangle from each.

These are statement earrings - they hang 3.25" in length.
